Contact: Jason Noble The core values of the Small Groups Ministry include:
The Ministry encourages two types of small groups called C.A.R.E. and L.I.F.E. groups. Most groups meet on Sunday evenings, but some may meet on other days of the week. C.A.R.E. (Christians Affirming, Renewing, and Extending) groups are our small, in-home Bible study groups, which focus on those who haven't accepted Christ as their savior. The goal of these groups is to affirm our relationship to one another as Christians, renew our relationship with God, and extend the gospel to others in the community in a non-threatening atmosphere. L.I.F.E. (Love, Involvement, Fellowship, and Encouragement) groups are our small, in-home Bible study groups, which focus on assimilation and encouragement. The goal of these groups is to assimilate new members at Friendly Avenue and to bring about spiritual growth of the congregation. This ministry is responsible for the continued development of the small groups. This includes training leaders, monitoring group events, supervising division of groups as growth necessitates, developing materials to be taught and promoting new groups. Group leaders and co-leaders attend a Wednesday evening class to ensure that the goals of this ministry are being achieved. |
